Lynching in America is the result EJI’s multi-year investigation documenting more than 4300 racial terror lynchings of African American people in the United States. The report, second in EJI's series on America's history of racial injustice, explores the ways in which lynching profoundly impacted American race relations in every sphere, and also perpetuated a deadly presumption of guilt and dangerous-ness that plagues people of color still.
